Programming Intern - Macintosh
at Wild Pockets in San Francisco, California
Wild Pockets is a free, web-based 3D game engine and surrounding eco-system for indie game developers. This cutting edge game platform is being developed by Sim Ops Studios, a fast growing company with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pittsburgh, PA.
We are currently seeking a progamming intern to assist in the mac version of the game engine.
Internship Basics:This is a paid internship, rate will be determined based on experience of candidate. Thisinternship can also be done for course credit.
Candidate will work at least 20 hours a week in our California or Pennsylvania office.
Description of Duties:
- You will work with the engineering team to further enhance, test and develop features for the mac version of the Wild Pockets engine
- You will have direct input to the process of designing and implementing gameengine compatibility features
Ideal Candidates:
- Junior undergrad or above in Computer Science
- Experience with C++, Objective-C, the Cocoa API, and the OpenGL API
- Experience with GDB
- Good debugging skills
- Previous experience porting code from Windows to Macintosh extremely helpful
